So, that’s what I’ve been up to tonight, and found some far more interesting Matthew Glovers than myself:

Matthew Glover – Google’s No. 1

The top Matthew Glover on Google likes to talk about ‘Integrity’. He’s a Senior Design Management Consultant for the company specialising in creative planning and project delivery for clients such as Volkswagon, Virgin Media and Waitrose. Matthew has his own profile online which includes details of his recent three month sabbatical to North West Canada which involved a highly adventurous trip by canoe from the Yukon Territory into Alaska.

Matthew ‘Doughboy’ Lee Glover – the fugitive

This Matthew Glover is featured on America’s Most Wanted for Attempted Murder (1st Degree) and Kidnapping.

According to the AMW website:

When you’re alone on the run, sometimes it’s better to just cut your losses and face the judge. That’s what accused attempted murderer Matthew Glover did this evening. Glover showed up at the Hennepin County Jail this evening, surrendering himself to the authorities. It appears his surrender is a direct result of his appearance on America’s Most Wanted.

Matthew Glover – the photographer

Matthew Glover is a cheeky photographer from Leicester. He has a website with this image and not much else.

Matt Glover – the Australian cartoonist

Matt Glover is a very talented cartoonist, pastor, husband and dad from Queensland, Australia. I don’t know if he fully counts in this list as he has shortened his name to Matt, but I decided to include him as the cartoons on his website are brilliant, and he likes doing long bike rides.

Matthew Glover – USA’s finest

While transporting men and equipment from Baghdad to Fallujah by helicopter on Nov. 13, 2004, Major Glover and his wingman came under heavy fire from the ground. His crew immediately returned fire–but suddenly insurgents started shooting at them from the opposite direction as well. Glover and his co-pilot dodged enemy fire as his men tried to protect the other helicopter.

After escaping the immediate kill zone, Glover realized that his wingman’s helicopter had been damaged. He escorted the other helicopter to Baghdad. The evening wasn’t quite over though; after arriving in Baghdad, Glover immediately directed his crew to reload their weapons to support a second mission planned for that night. That mission, an assault on an enemy safe house, led to the capture of three high-value targets and the detention of 10 suspected insurgents. For his leadership and actions, Glover was presented the Distinguished Flying Cross by Vice President Cheney on June 10, 2005.

Matthew Glover – the musician

Matthew Glover is an electric mandolin player from Newfoundland who experiments in fusing Irish music with Indian classical music and other genres.

He’s actually very good and you can see him in action on the following video:

I know – I should get a life!
