   Very amusing! But it does emphasize how much stronger an Aluminuim door is over Upvc, which would have pinged open or sheered with that amount of leverage. Best the Upvc boys keep coy about this one!

   Disagree – you can see daylight through these doors. As a supplier once said to me about Aluminium doors:

   ‘I could get through those doors with my knob!’

   I doubt an aluminium patio door would have stood up to the loadings that our PVC one did in achieving PAS24.

   Maybe us Upvc boys are all better endowed?

   Hi Ian

   Is the patio door you make which also has Secured By Design?

   Our doors have very large shootbolts and are held together with big nuts.

   Hi RCG,

   being based near Preston and its port we have a couple of ex merchant sailors who operate our welders. Accordingly we find the strongest way to make our doors is to weld them together with old seamen.

   Enough already!
