It is a list of the most charitable, and thoughtful people who work for companies within the glass and glazing industry. To view the list please click on the link below:
The most generous people in the double glazing industry
The list is not complete and it is hoped that other people will be joining the list over the coming days

Anyone familiar with the Roman Catholic Church will know that this practice of publishing or citing donations is hated because it’s usually done to show rich people in a good light, while making those less well off feel unworthy in comparison. The priest reels off the names of the ‘great and the good’ at the Sunday service, making them feel pleased, nay smug with themselves for their generosity. Is this unfair to those on your list? I’ll leave others to decide but anonymity is the real sign of charity.
Hi Michael
Sorry, I was unaware of such a Roman Catholic tactic, being a devout atheist myself.
Another way of looking at it is that it’s just a tongue in cheek way of twisting people’s arm to donate to a very worthy cause. I will try other tactics in due course as I believe that everyone I know wishes to help orphaned children, I just need to keep reminding them in innovative ways.
I’d also love to have an ‘anonymous’ Just Giving page but I’m unsure how I’ll get to my target this way.

I, too, am a devout atheist but it was tactics like the one mentioned that made me see that the path to a good life didn’t rest with those that employed that kind of emotional blackmail. I was also querying the motivations behind people who like to see their names and the money they give. If you’re saying they and others would be more reluctant to give, what does that say about them and the, er, ‘most generous people in the double glazing industry’?
Hi Michael
I think you are looking at the subject too deeply.
RCG
I am happy for anybody to know that I am as tight as a fishes arse reversing upstream in a flood, a paltry £25.00 I should be thoroughly ashamed of myself, get your cheque book out Micheal.
I think Michael needs to take a chill pill the people that know you also know that it’s a jokey way of getting the job done.
Well I’m not an atheist but I’m not a Roman Catholic and I’m sure if God or whatever supreme being anyone believes in were looking down on RCG they would know in the way he posted it was not meant in a black maily way.
So sleep tight RCG in the knowledge that money for a charity is a good thing and whatever way you can get it short of Mercenary actions would be favourable to the almighty supreme “being” as opposed to children going needy where ever they are whether it’s India or anywhere else in the world.
So anyone reading this, GIVE RCG (Matthew) YOUR MONEY AND HE’LL DO SOMETHING GOOD WITH IT!!!!
