In July I asked the question – Where is Dave Costello?
After a massive nationwide search we managed to track him down, but were surprised to find that possibly one of the UK’s most experienced trade sales guys had actually become a victim of the downturn in the UK fenestration market.
This is Dave Costello:

I’ve known Dave for many years. He worked at Hurst Plastics in the mid 1990s and because he was such a nice guy, it was difficult not to buy our door panels from him. He then moved onto North East Panels for nearly ten years and took us as a customer with him.
Over the last couple of years he’s worked at Future Products, Conservatory Roof Supplies and KSK uPVC Curves Ltd, but it hasn’t worked out at each company.
I don’t normally get involved with personal testimonials for people needing work, but in this instance I feel it is such a shame that someone with such a wealth of experience in our industry should be looking for work. Dave is the type of guy who will knock on doors, bring in new business and look after it.
If our factory wasn’t at full capacity I’d take him on myself. If anyone reading this is looking for a top notch salesman please get in touch with me. Thanks.
PS. The brief on his CV states:
Results oriented and possessing excellent business and area sales management experience. Proven record of providing a high level of sales turnover through the development of accounts throughout N.E. England, London and Scotland in a very competitive industry. Highly personable and customer orientated with a good commercial awareness – believing maximum sales results come from sound customer service, good follow up and ethical selling. Now looking for a similar position to continue delivering a significant contribution within a field sales / area management role for a successful company that rewards on merit.
