PVCu winning the environmental vote

October 16th, 2008 · 4 Comments

PVCu is currently winning the battle to be crowned the most environmentally friendly window option.

As of today the position is as follows:

PVC - 28 votes (52%)
Aluminium - 16 votes (30%)
Timber - 10 votes (19%)

If you haven’t already voted, then you can register your vote in the section down the right hand side - absolutely free of charge!

The winner will be announced on November 1st, and the great debate about whether uPVC, aluminium or timber windows are the more sustainable, environmentally-friendly option will be settled forever.

Amen.

Strangely the result for a similar vote on the timbertosser.com is weighted in favour of wooden windows. Oh and look, bauxiteboys.co.uk have aluninium in the lead.
Don’t get too excited RCG - the debate will live on me thinks.

Ian, you clearly have too much time on your hands (or is it Friday afternoon), but you are spot on with your observation that the lead article on this pathetic website is utterly meaningless. Poll Latest: a survey of 100 bears suggests that a majority do defecate in woodland areas; a survey of 100 Popes amazingly reveals that all are Catholic. Take this site down, it’s rubbish

I don’t know who keeps on voting for PVC, but they demonstrate total ignorance of both the manufacturing and the end life usage of the product.

    Hi Renegade Tosser,
it was friday morning 6:43am or thereabouts.
No, my hands are pretty busy these days with marketing our BBA and SBD accreditation on our patio doors.
It’s all coming together now though, for us and our customers e.g. a new customer was just informed where to buy his patio doors from by Barratts - proves the internet works at least!

Don’t be too hard on the site eh? It’s a bit of fun if you ask me and er .. you don’t have to get involved!

    Regards,
    Ian
