Guest writers required, the forthcoming boxing match and a good month for RCG

It’s been a very good month for the Renegade Conservatory Guy website, despite the fact that I’ve been on holiday for 2 weeks, as has most of the UK population this August.

You’ll see that both visitors and page views has increased, mainly due to the increased number of pages I have added and Google positioning them well.

As the market naturally picks up then I’m sure this site will perform even better over the next 2-3 months.

Guest writers

I am considering allowing guest writers to get involved. If you have something you want to say about the double glazing industry, then please get in touch with me. Maybe you disagree with what I keep harping on about and fancy putting things straight. Maybe there’s a burning issue you want to tell the double glazing establishment about. Whatever it is, send me an email, and if I think it’s suitable I can add it to the site.

I’m going to get beaten up

There’s one post during the month I’m regretting adding. I set myself a personal challenge of selling 5000 frames during the month of November. I believe that if I put my mind to it, then this would be achievable (even though we only made 2546 frames in August).

There’s 3 reasons I regret writing this post:

The first reason is that it doesn’t necessarily make sense to try make 5,000 frames. As a company we need growth, but increasing our sales by 60% in 3 months would potentially put a strain on production.

With the recession deepening over the last month, and even the Chancellor suggesting things are going to get much worse, then such a challenge seems foolish. The effect the recession is having on the glazing industry means that I need to spend time making sure our company is prepared for it.

I decided that if I failed in my challenge, then something horrible should happen to me. So far 63% of you have voted for me to get beaten up by my Head of Production in a boxing match.
