A massive boo boo here is that the type of heat produced from a heater is totally different to the type of heat produced by the sun.
So the glass may help to block the heat radiation from a heater but still let heat in from the sun {like K glass} which clearly would not reduce air conditioning costs, much the opposite increase them!
What a cock up!
