In a previous post, it was clear that some people disagreed with my negative thoughts about Christmas.
Well, I’d like to hear what the pro-Christmas lobby has to say about my wife buying these:

As far as I’m concerned this is the last straw.
In fact I’m thinking of creating a ‘Let’s Ban Christmas’ Facebook group. Anyone interested in joining me?

I am with you Mathew, Christmas is crap and in Korea a dog is not just for Christmas, you can share one any time.
Do you know if they do advent calenders for the feral cats in my garden?
You know I think you’re a miserable sod over Christmas…but I agree with this. Just the sort of crap Mrs G is bound to turn up with. THIS is the sort of thing that spoils it.
But you’re still a miserable sod….
Thank you Paul.
You should see the bespoke Christmas cards she’s had made to send to family and important friends. Oh, actually, you probably won’t get one, though.
What a miserable bugger! Dog advent calendars are a bit too far, but Jesus your negative. I’ll buy you a room with no windows or walls and put you in there for the whole of Xmas is you want. I’ll even provide paper and pens so you can quote to have some of the walls knocked through to put some windows and doors in!
DGB – thanks for the generous offer. Would need a double socket for laptop and lamp. And can I have ensuite facilities?
I think it is an absolute disgrace , of all the kindness and loyalty your dog has given you over the last 12 months , to spend just £2.19 on it’s Christmas calender is just tight in my book .
You can get proper posh ones if you looked a bit harder, because the dog is worth it
I think I can arrange that, I’ll even throw in a couple of the last GGP magazines in case you exhaust all the double glazing possibilites for the room!
I’m not sure you should be advocating rooms without windows DGB.
I think a really good gift to buy someone for Christmas would be an A rated replacement window – now if that caught on we wouldn’t have to ban Christmas – beats a goat in Outer Mongolia!
yep lets have a ‘lets ban christmas group’ – I’ll join and we’ll aim to get a few million and send it to downing street. i think we have a good chance.
Graham – I was thinking of the builders too! Let them earn a bit of brass by knocking-thru a few walls! The plasterers could even get a look in!
