Why not just use window auctions for anything the double glazing industry wants to shift, liquidated machinery, and all the other crap that’s out there. If you had the search criteria right and switched on and the items were logged properly it could work…

How many times have you been hunting for that part and never found it, obviously you’d all have to pay me commision on every sale just for the idea…

I’ll start ringing Wurth and Gap to see if they’re interested in stocking all their products on there too…

I might be able to help you out there RCG, a mate of mine, a certain miss White is building a house with seven vertically challenged friends, they don’t get on very well, different personalities all seven of them, one is really happy and another is really grumpy and that is just the start of it, bottom line is they all want their own entrance to the house and your short arched doors could be just the trick.

Great thing about these little guys is they are great window fitters and they will work all day for virtually nothing, I guess if you gave them the doors you could get rid of most of your subbies and get them to work for you for a year at least in a trade for your doors.

Only thing is you will have to supply your customers with ear plugs, they sing the same
….ing song all day long.

Andy – I agree, we’ve got 10 arched doors all exactly the same size waiting for a good home. So, if any architect is designing 10 houses for people who are shorter than the average then I could do a very good deal on this.

I think we should encourage architects designing new build homes to include lots of random sized arched windows into new houses and we can sell them all of our miss made arched frames at a greatly discounted price.

This is a win win situation, just think of the all quirky houses with lovely arched windows and really classy Georgian sunbursts all with self cleaning, solar protection glass and we, although loathe to part with them, can provide these aesthetically pleasing windows at a marginally discounted price.

I know you guys will be reluctant to part with these slightly distorted and often eccentric old friends, but I am sure that ultimately your head will rule your heart and you will let them go to a good home.

Edward – re: new (old) frames. We’ve all got our graveyard of frames we save, because they’ll come in handy later.

Andrew has made an intelligent comment, I am pretty sure he wasn’t referring to singular low value items …. no doubt many of us have frames/products which may have a value to other companies in the industry.

Get the website up Andrew and I’ll list all the new frames I’ve been storing for years*, most of the items results of my incompetence with a tape measure : )

*convincing myself we’ll find a good home for them!
